Yesterday...

I meant to write last night, but with company over and a late night movie I just couldn't fit it in.

Jared had to work, and I rushed out the door with the kids to get to church.  They were both amazing during worship, then when it came time for class it was like they were transformed.  Or perhaps they both were plotting against me, but neither of them wanted to go to class.  I had a nice little talk with them about "doing things we don't want to do", the whole obedience chat...and ultimately had to force them to go.  The rest of the service I was worried I would be getting the worst parent of the year award.  I was missing my hubby, my face is breaking out, I'm on my period, and my jeans aren't fitting right.  It was one rough morning!  After service we had another nice long chat about behavior, then headed to the pet store.  We ended up with 8 new pets.  3 guppies, 2 dalmations, 2 red wag platies, and 1 africian dwarf frog.  The kids love them, held them on their laps during the bumpy ride, and had them named before we even got them home.  The 3 guppies are Batman (Bruce Wayne), Spiderman (Peter Parker), and Wolverine (Logan).  The 2 red platies are Tom and Jerry (Daddy helped with these when we called him on speaker phone).  The first to be named was Spotty, which Ethan chose for one of the dalmations, and the other I suggested Dotty.  And finally our frog's name is Skeeter, which I picked.  So far none have died.  Bonus.  I am not looking forward to that part of this new adventure.
Today is Monday and I'm in the middle of babysitting Noah and waiting to go pick up Ethan from school at 3:30.  I need to stop by the store and pick up a loaf of french bread to go with tonights Lasagna.  Curt had to drop some papers off at his new work, Ruth is at Starbucks working on her resume and cover letter, and Jared is working til 4.  I'll be making dinner, then heading to the church to get my bookkeeping work done this evening.  Then off to play some volleyball.  Slow morning but this evening will be extremely busy!  Today I whipped up my first batch of carmel corn since April.  I made it, bagged it, and sent it out the door with my mom.  I must be clinically insane.  I forgot to taste it!  Either that or I'm really tired.  Happy Monday!
